In general, you should be entitled to financial support as soon as you arrive in the Ankunftszentrum.<\/p>\n<p>You register here and receive a proof of arrival (Ankunftsnachweis). From this date onwards (and even retroactively), you will receive financial support.<\/p>\n<p><b>IMPORTANT:<\/b><br \/>\nWhile receiving\u00a0financial support, you must remain available at all times and always have your valid residence title with you when you visit the authorities. If you lose your <span style=\"color: #02a4d5;\">proof of arrival (Ankunftsnachweis)<\/span>, your <span style=\"color: #02a4d5;\">permission to remain while the asylum decision is pending (Aufenthaltsgestattung)<\/span> or your <span style=\"color: #02a4d5;\">temporary suspension of deportation\u00a0(Duldung)<\/span>, contact the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #02a4d5;\">Ausl\u00e4nderbeh\u00f6rde\u00a0(foreign nationals authority), at the Ankunftszentrum or at Hammer Stra\u00dfe 30-34<\/span>. You can find further information on what to do when you lose your residence title or it expires here: <a href=\"\/portal\/en\/asylum\/\">https:\/\/we-inform.de\/portal\/en\/asylum\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Accommodation and food<\/b><br \/>\nYour accommodation (Ankunftszentrum or later another initial reception centre (Erstaufnahmeeinrichtung)) will provide a package which contains bed linen, sanitary products and clothes, as well as breakfast, lunch and an evening meal. For special nutritional needs, please get in touch with the <span style=\"color: #02a4d5;\">Sozialmanagement (social management team)<\/span> at your accommodation. As a resident at an initial reception centre\u00a0(Erstaufnahmeeinrichtung), you will also be given a\u00a0HVV\u00a0travel ticket (<span style=\"color: #02a4d5;\">Mobilit\u00e4tskarte<\/span>) for all public transport in Hamburg. You will receive the travel ticket at the Ankunftszentrum at first, later you will receive new ones at the Ausl\u00e4nderbeh\u00f6rde, Hammer Stra\u00dfe 30-34.<\/p>\n<p><b>Basic benefits (Grundleistungen) in the Ankunftszentrum and in an initial reception centre (Erstaufnahmeeinrichtung) <\/b><br \/>\nYou will get your basic benefits (Grundleistungen) once a month. During the time that you stay in the Ankunftszentrum or another initial reception centre (Erstaufnahmeeinrichtung), you will receive\u00a0 some of your basic benefits (Grundleistungen) (for example food and clothes) as non-cash benefits, the rest as cash benefits. As soon as you stay in another initial reception centre (Erstaufnahmeeinrichtung), the Ausl\u00e4nderbeh\u00f6rde at Hammer Stra\u00dfe 30-34 is responsible for granting your benefits and sending you the written confirmation (Leistungsbescheid).<\/p>\n<p>When you get an extension on your residence title you have to contact the competent <span style=\"color: #02a4d5;\">Ausl\u00e4nderbeh\u00f6rde<\/span> in order to get a new written confirmation (Leistungsbescheid) (and therefore continue to be entitled to benefits). Go to the <span style=\"color: #02a4d5;\">Sozialmanagement<\/span> in your accommodation to make an appointment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bezahlkarte (payment card): SocialCard<br \/>\n<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">SocialCard<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> is a VISA prepaid card issued to refugees by the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Amt f\u00fcr Migration<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. You will receive a SocialCard if you<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">1) receive money under the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Asylbewerberleistungsgesetz<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> (Asylum Seekers Benefits Act) for the first time and not before 15\/02\/2024 and\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559685&quot;:708}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">2) live in an <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Erstaufnahmeinrichtung <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">(initial reception centre) in Hamburg.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559685&quot;:708}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If you move out of the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Erstaufnahmeinrichtung<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, you will keep the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">SocialCard<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. You can continue to use the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">SocialCard<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> after moving to a <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Folgeunterkunft<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> (public secondary accommodation) just as before and it remains mandatory.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">SocialCard<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> works without an account and has no credit line. Transfers to other accounts and SEPA direct debit mandates are not possible.
